48 Separate Loads Delivered Across State Lines in Less Than Three Weeks

Houston-headquartered heavy haul specialist Seahorse Express has successfully transported a shipment of oversized fiberglass tubing between the U.S. states of New Jersey and Michigan.

The cargo, destined for a hydroelectric project, measured 3.8 meters high and 3.7 meters wide and was delivered in 48 separate loads in less than three weeks.

“The project required constant coordination from our team, the shipper, the receiver and our client,” said Paul Haught, senior sales executive at Seahorse Express. “We delivered all 48 loads in budget and on time.”

Seahorse Express was founded in New Jersey in 2008. Lalena "Lily" Kotasek, director of sales and marketing at Seahorse Express, told Breakbulk the company was "proud" to be female-owned.

The firm provides transport management services across the U.S., Canada and Mexico, specializing in a range of services including heavy machinery transport, out-of-gauge cargo, warehousing, machinery dismantling and rigging, customized crating and port drayage.

In 2021 Seahorse Express relocated its headquarters to Houston, a move designed to situate the company in the southern part of the U.S. where there has been “progressive and exponential growth”, Kotasek said.

“Seahorse also has connections pertaining to capacity and operational resources in Houston that is very appealing to our primary customer base,” Kotasek added. “The company is no longer physically located in New Jersey but with the loyalty of our customer base in the region, we still conduct much of our business on the East Coast.”

Seahorse Express will be exhibiting at Breakbulk Americas 2024 on 15-17 October at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. You can meet Kotasek and the team at Booth D36.
