WWPC Trio Delivers Manila Transformers

Shipment from Shanghai

A trio of breakbulk members of the Worldwide Project Consortium, or WWPC, have completed delivery of transformers and accessories from China to the Philippines.

The outsized consignment comprised three 230-kilovolt transformers, measuring more than 7 meters and 68 tonnes each. Cargo was handled by Steder Group from the Netherlands, Global Star Logistics from China, Royal Cargo from the Philippines.

“Special challenges by the typhoon Hagupit and unexpected Manila port restrictions for the transformer oil, because of the port accident in Beirut recently, did not hinder the timely delivery of all components,” a spokesperson for WWPC said.

Headquartered in Spain, the WWPC is a global network connecting project cargo freight forwarders, and is a member to the Baltic Exchange in London and World Ocean Council. WWPC is an exhibitor at Breakbulk events.
