Virgin Adds Tel Aviv Service

Daily Flights to Heathrow

Freight airline Virgin Atlantic Cargo has expanded its service with new daily flights between London Heathrow and Tel Aviv.

Under terms of the deals, WTA Aviation will be responsible for selling cargo capacity, while Swissport in Israel will provide cargo handling services via its warehouse terminal at Ben Gurion International Airport. Virgin Atlantic Cargo will offer 20 tonnes of daily cargo capacity onboard its Airbus A330-300 when the new route commences on Sept. 25.

“We see a fantastic growth opportunity in Israel and have chosen two respected partners who are a perfect fit for Virgin Atlantic. We are confident WTA Aviation and Swissport will help us realize the potential of this exciting new route and deliver the high quality of service every Virgin Atlantic customer deserves and expects,” said Claire Fallon, Virgin Atlantic’s regional sales manager.

With head offices in Crawley, UK, Virgin Atlantic Cargo operates via parent company Virgins’ fleet of Airbus and Boeing aircraft to a network to more than 350 destinations worldwide.
