Vestas to Deliver Portland Towers

Equipment manufacturer Vestas is to deliver wind turbine tower sections via Terminal 6 at the Port of Portland.

The first shipment has already arrived from Korea with cargo destined for a wind power project in Eastern Oregon. Components will be handled in partnership with Portland-based forwarder Omega Morgan.

“We are focused on moving more breakbulk through Terminal 6 as we continue to serve shippers at our multiuse terminal. The local partnerships needed to complete this work complement a project that will bring renewable energy to the state,” said Keith Leavitt, chief commercial officer at the port.

Based in Aarhus, Denmark, Vestas is the world's largest wind turbine manufacturing company.
