United Shipping Group Receives BoldWind

(Europe) First of Two New Deck Carriers

Breakbulk specialist United Wind Logistics has received the first of two newbuild deck carriers from China.

The BoldWind was delivered to Norway carrying windmill blades and is expected to be followed by a second vessel later this year. With a deadweight of 10,000 tonnes, the vessel features a deck length of 128 meters and width of 28 meters.

BoldWind will start her maiden voyage towards Europe, where she will be employed in a long-term charter in the offshore Wind industry,” a spokesperson for UWL said.

Headquartered in Hamburg, UWL is a division of United Shipping Group. The firm is an exhibitor at Breakbulk Europe.
