Terberg To Deliver Wilmington Tractors

16 Terminal Tractors for Port Expansion

Equipment supplier Terberg Tractors Americas is to deliver 16 terminal tractors to the Port of Wilmington as part of upgrade work.

The order was placed by GT USA, the U.S. subsidiary of Gulftainer, the privately owned ports and logistics firm. Delivery of the first three units is scheduled for mid-June, with the remainder arriving by October.

“We will continue to enhance operations through the introduction of this and other cargo handling equipment throughout 2019 as part of the $100 million-plus modernization and improvement program at the port,” said Eric Casey, CEO of GT USA Wilmington.

Last year, UAE-based Gulftainer signed a 50-year concession agreement to operate and expand the Port of Wilmington in Delaware. The port is a fully serviced deepwater port and marine terminal located at the confluence of the Delaware and Christina rivers.
