TechnipFMC Secures NCS Contracts

(Europe) Total Value NOK 1.8 billion

Engineering services firm TechnipFMC has been awarded two contracts by energy group Equinor for pipelaying and subsea installation projects on the Norwegian continental shelf.

The projects include the Breidablikk and the Gas Import System for the Snorre Expansion Project and Askeladd Vest and are valued at a total of NOK 1.8 billion.

“We are pleased to award TechnipFMC new large assignments within pipelaying and subsea installation on the NCS. Giving three assignments to the same supplier enables efficiency gains and cost savings. It will also allow for a coordinated follow-up of the total delivery during the implementation phase. This creates value for all parties,” said Peggy Krantz-Underland, chief procurement officer at Equinor.

TechnipFMC employs 44,000 staff in 48 countries focusing on offshore oil and gas exploration and extraction platforms, rigs, crude oil refinery and petrochemical plant projects.
