Steder Mobilizes Dos Bocas Refinery Equipment

Transport Via Ras Al Khaimah

Cargo carrier Steder Group has transported a cargo of refinery equipment from Port Harcourt, Nigeria, to Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE and onward mobilization of equipment for a project in Dos Bocas, Mexico.

Acting on behalf of client Van Oord, Steder chartered Zeamarine’s Industrial Fusion for shipment to the Ras Al Khaimah shipyard. About 4,000 cubic meters of cargo were shipped from Nigeria and a total of 17,500 cubic meters were then mobilized for the refinery project in Dos Bocas.

“Due to the limited draft of the Ras Al Khaimah Maritime City Channel, the vessel as well as another 1,500 tonnes of cargo had to be moved to the neighboring Saqr Port. While the vessel was shifting between the port facilities, cargo transportation by road was tightly coordinated in order to minimize the downtime and limit the costs,” a spokesperson for Steder said

Steder is a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium, a cargo association for pre-qualified breakbulk specialists worldwide.
