Spedag Receives ISO Accreditation

Anti Bribery Management System

Logistics group Spedag Interfreight has received ISO 37001:2016 accreditation, becoming the first in East Africa and the third in Africa to achieve the certification.

The ISO Anti Bribery Management System was awarded for the firm’s efforts in Uganda, highlighting the company’s commitment to ethical, fair trading and social responsibilities. The group now plans to achieve the accreditation for all its other operations across Africa by middle of 2020.

“Spedag Interfreight will be able to achieve its corporate strategy of promoting ethical trading, through promoting a culture of zero tolerance towards bribery and promoting trust among the various stake holders like clients, suppliers and business associates among others in its day to today operations,” a spokesperson for Spedag said.

Founded in Basel, Switzerland, Spedag is a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium, which represents members in more than 70 countries.
