Megalift Delivers Pasir Gudang Transformers

Project cargo handler Megalift has transported two transformers from Pasir Gudang to Port Dickson, Malaysia.

The complex breakbulk delivery involved loading of the transfomers at Sultan Iskandar Power Plant as well as road transport for 300 kilometers across three states. The heavier transformer weighed 41.3 tonnes while the other weighed 21.7 tonnes.

Headquartered in Selangor, Malaysia, Megalift provides logistics services for the transport of heavy and oversized cargoes, lifting and installation, crane rigging, barging and chartering of ships and specialized equipment.

The firm is a member of breakbulk association Project Cargo Network, which also recently announced the completion of an outsized delivery by Iraqi members, FLS-KAA.

A team from FLS-KAA oversaw transport of an oil heater measuring 11 meters in length and weighing 80 tonnes on a 6-axle low-bed trailer from Jebel Ali in the UAE.
