IPL Delivers Banshkali Power Cargo

Cargo specialist IPL Supply Chain has transported a consignment of outsized equipment across Bangladesh for the Banshkali City power plant project.

The cargo included two sets of generator stators, weighing 28 tonnes each, a main transformer, weighing 153 tonnes, and six sets of high-pressure heaters. The project has been financed by China as part of a Bangladesh-China-India-Myanmar (BCIM) economic corridor under the Belt And Road Initiative.

“As the general logistics contractor of this project, IPL started to undertake the whole logistics and engineering services. This included delivery from domestic/ third country, sea transportation, customs clearance transportation in Bangladesh section, construction of the terminal on the project site, storage and material management, and installation and placement of large pieces ,” a spokesperson for the firm said.

Headquartered in Singapore, IPL Supply Chain is an exhibitor at Breakbulk events and a member of the Project Logistics Alliance.
