Gruber Moves Luebeck Breakbulk

Shipment to Gdansk

Freight specialist Intertransport Gruber has delivered two breakbulk units from Italy to Poland via Germany.

Both items measured over 10 meters in length, with one weighing 84 tonnes and the second weighing 86 tonnes. Cargo was transported via the Port of Luebeck and delivered to Gdansk in Poland.

“A challenge was that the terminal didn't have the necessary hook for the lifting of the cargo, therefore this had to be organised quickly in order to make sure that the cargo would make the planned vessel," said Patrick Sommer of Gruber.

Intertransport Gruber is headquartered in Ora in the South Tyrol region of northern Italy and operates a total of 23 branches and 750 vehicles. The firm also manages more than 80,000 square meters of warehousing. The firm is a member of the Project Cargo Network, a global network in more than 100 countries.
