GPS Delivers Atlanta Press Components

Cargo Value Tops US$6 million

Breakbulk carrier GPS Global Project Services has delivered a shipment of large wooden crates with press components from Newport News, Virginia to China.

The outsized cargo comprised 19 packages with a total weight of 56.5 tonnes. They were delivered for a client in the automotive industry by truck to Atlanta and hence via air charter from Atlanta to Beijing.

“After clearance by the consignee the high value components with a value of over US$6 million were delivered without problem or damage via OTR trucks to the consignee in Changchung, China,” a spokesperson for GPS said.

Based in Atlanta, Georgia, GPS is a member of the WCA Network, which connects freight forwarders and project cargo companies worldwide.
