Goodrich Moves Temirtau Electrodes

Shipment via Riga

Breakbulk handler Goodrich Central Asia has transported a set of over-dimensional electrodes from India to Kazakhstan.

The out-of-gauge units were loaded at Chennai Port in India and shipped aboard an MSC breakbulk vessel to Riga in Latvia on behalf of Arcelor Mittal. From there a team from Goodrich oversaw discharge and transhipment by rail to Temirtau, Kazakhstan.

In total, the cargo consisted of 13 units each weighing 40 tonnes. "This is the second lot of shipments handled by Goodrich for the project,” a spokesperson for the firm said.

Representing Kazakhstan, Goodrich Central Asia is a member of the Project Cargo Network, a breakbulk association with members in more than 100 countries.
