Blue Water Deploys World’s Largest Reachstacker

152-ton capacity

Cargo shipping line Blue Water has started using the world’s largest reachstacker for breakbulk operations at the port of Esbjerg in Denmark.

The machine has a 152-ton lifting capacity on the hook, and will be used for heavy lifts of wind turbines, nacelles, frames and other structures.

"Now we can handle the heaviest lifting and transport tasks by combining our equipment for the various tasks. For example, we can lift items up to 250 tons with the world's largest reachstacker at one end and one of our 100-ton reachstackers at the other end – or operate with extremely heavy items hanging on the hook,” said Søren Messmann, general Mmanager for the port services division at Blue Water Shipping.

Blue Water operates 55 offices in more than 26 countries worldwide and is headquartered in Esbjerg on the west coast of the Jutland peninsula in southwest Denmark.
