Berard Moves Louisiana Tug

Project cargo handler Berard has transported a tugboat to dry dock at a client’s fabrication yard in south Louisiana.

The tugboat Aveogan was lifted from its foundation at the yard and transported using 46 axle lines of self-propelled modular transporter to the client’s dry dock.

“Once at the loading ramps, the dry dock’s ballasting system was started and the team rolled forward onto the dry dock. The mission was completed in minimal time and performed safely,” a spokesperson for the firm said. 

Headquartered in New Iberia, Louisiana, Berard provides a range of services throughout the southern U.S. for heavy-lift and super-heavy transport.
