Berard Moves Jacksonville Skywalk

(Americas) Hospital Expansion Project

Heavy-lift firm Berard has transported an outsized skywalk section for a hospital expansion project in Jacksonville, Florida.

The breakbulk section weighed 100 tonnes and was loaded on 12 axle lines of self-propelled modular transporters. It was installed on site using two Liebherr cranes to rotate 90 degrees into position.

“The Saturday move brought with it some great weather for the event in which many of the patients from a nearby children’s hospital watched,” a spokesperson for Berard said.

Headquartered in New Iberia, Louisiana, Berard provides a range of services throughout the southern U.S. for project cargo and super heavy transport. The firm is an exhibitor at Breakbulk Americas.
