Berard Loads Out Offshore Deck

(Americas) 32 Axle Lines of SPMT

Project cargo firm Berard has transported an overdimensional offshore deck for an oil and gas client in Houston.

The giant unit weighed 758 tons and measured 129 feet in length. It was loaded out using 32 axle lines of SPMT and transported to a deck barge for loading.

Ground conditions were less than desirable due to the recent heavy rains that saturated theworksite. To combat this, team members laid out steel plating to better distribute the weight,” a spokesperson for Berard commented.

Headquartered in New Iberia, Louisiana, Berard provides a range of services throughout the southern U.S. for heavy-lift and super heavy transport. The firm is an exhibitor at Breakbulk Americas.
