Barrus Moves Vestas Nacelles

Wind Power Equipment to Dzerzhinsk

Heavy-lift firm Barrus Projects has moved a cargo of Vestas nacelles at a production site in the Nizhny Novgorod region of Russia.

The Vestas wind turbine parts were transported on behalf of equipment manufacturer Liebherr in Dzerzhinsk.  Each nacelle measured 13 meters in length and weighed 72 tonnes.

“All works were performed with Barrus Projects’ own fleet of Goldhofer PST/SL with power pack units and highly qualified operators,” a spokesperson for Barrus said.

Based in Russia, Barrus is a member of the Project Logistics Alliance for Kazakhstan. The PLA is a breakbulk association which connects pre-qualified cargo carriers in 88 countries worldwide.
