Antonov Delivers Cayenne Satellite Unit


Breakbulk Item Weighed 70 Tonnes

Air logistics firm Antonov Airlines has delivered a satellite unit from Germany to Cayenne Félix Eboué Airport in is French Guiana.

The breakbulk item weighed 70 tonnes and was loaded aboard an AN-124-100 variant from the airline’s fleet at Munich Airport. Transport was carried out in partnership with logistics specialist Kübler Spedition.
 
“Transporting this kind of sensitive aerospace equipment has a range of challenging and specialised requirements, and our engineers worked in partnership with Kübler Spedition and OHB to provide a seamless transition of cargo from the test facilities near Munich, to aircraft, to launch site,” said Martin Banns, commercial manager at Antonov Airlines.
 
Headquartered in Kiev, Antonov provides heavy-lift air freight and specialized transport for outsized cargoes to the oil and gas, energy, aerospace, agriculture and telecommunications industries.
