Breakbulk handler Andina Freight has delivered a transformer and auxillary parts from India to Chile.

The cargo consisted of a medium voltage transformer and spare parts weighing 100 tonnes and measuring about 250 cubic meters in volume. A team from Andina carried out internal transport, route survey and all on-site operations for the project as well as safety procedures.

“Seatech Shipping and Projects acted as origin agent in Mumbai, India while Andina Freight Chile acted as destination agent in San Antonio, Chile,” a spokesperson for the firm said.

Representing Peru and Chile, Andina Freight is the latest member to join the Project Logistics Alliance, a breakbulk association which connects pre-qualified firm in 88 countries.
