Altus Norway Moves Gas Modules

Heaviest Single Lift of 550 Tonnes

Logistics expert Altus Norway has transported a shipment of gas modules from a fabrication yard in Qidong to Keppel Shipyard in Singapore.
The giant modules weighed about 1,000 tonnes in total, with the heaviest single lift being about 550 tonnes. A team from Altus oversaw complete project management, including all engineering, documentation and planning.

“Altus negotiated the most suitable charter terms in our customers interest and ensured well-coordinated arrival of assets used for the operations. Being present at each site in China prior and during operations ensured every phase was performed professionally and timely with the highest international standards and to the expectations of clients from the oil and gas industry,” said Reidar Evensen, commercial manager at Altus.

Headquartered in Singapore, Altus Group is a member of the Project Cargo Network, which represents 233 breakbulk firms in more than 100 countries.
