ALE Lifts Ingleside Module

Strategic heavy-lift specialist ALE has deployed the world’s largest capacity land-based crane to move the first of three modules for an oil and gas project in Texas.

The giant modules weigh a combined 6,614 tonnes and were moved with ALE’s AL.SK350 crane for the project in Ingleside. Rigged with a 124-meter main boom, the AL.SK350 lifted the heater module from the yard to the offshore topside.

“Our AL.SK350 is the only crane on the market to lift this weight at such a long outreach. The project really showcases the capabilities of the AL.SK350 to perform some of the world’s heaviest ever crane lifts in such a congested site,” said Filippo Anello, global projects division director at ALE.

Headquartered in Staffordshire in the UK, ALE provides heavy-lift services via a network of more than 30 regional offices.
