AAL Launches Get Onboard! Initiative

Free Services for Charities

Project cargo specialist AAL has launched a new initiative offering charity organizations free cargo transport on its global fleet.

The Get Onboard! Initiative is open to any registered charity worldwide, and AAL will offer free carriage on its scheduled sailings.

"The virus pandemic has taken its toll on not just the shipping sector, but businesses and organisations everywhere – devastating supply chains and pressuring financial performance. This is especially true of charities, who rely on the goodwill of individual and institutional donors to get help … 2020 is our 25th anniversary year and we unanimously agreed to harness this milestone to give something back to the communities that we serve,” said Kyriacos Panayides, managing director of AAL.

AAL is a member of Cypriot investment group Schoeller Holdings and operates a specialist multipurpose fleet with heavy-lift capabilities of up to 700 tonnes. The company provides breakbulk, heavy-lift and project cargo services worldwide to the energy, oil and gas, mining, forestry, leisure, agriculture and construction sectors.
