Vestas Turbines Ordered for Tasmania

Vestas has received an order to supply 56 wind turbines to the 168-megawatt Musselroe Wind Farm in Tasmania, Australia. The order has been placed by Hydro Tasmania, Australia’s largest generator of renewable electricity.

The order includes Vestas’ 3.0-megawatt turbines, installation and commissioning, according to a company statement.

The wind turbines will be manufactured during 2012 prior to installation on site during the first half of 2013.
