Vestas to Supply Turbines to Tozzi

Vestas will supply turbines to an Italian wind farm.

Danish turbine manufacturer has received an order from utility Tozzi TRE to supply 28 wind turbines to its Castellaneta wind farm in the Apulia region.

The contract includes supply and installations of Vestas 2.0-megawatt turbines at the 56-megawatt capacity project, an online equipment management system and a 12-year service and maintenance agreement, Vestas officials said.

Delivery of the first turbines is expected to start during the second quarter of 2012 and the project is expected to be commissioned before the end of 2012.
