Nordex USA has won two orders from wind farm developer RPM Access for projects in Iowa. Nordex will supply 35 of its 2.5-megawatt turbines for the 37.5-megawatt Hawkeye Wind Farm in Fayette County and 50-megawatt Rippey Wind Farm in Green County.
The turbine nacelles will be produced at Nordex' year-old plant in Jonesboro, Arkansas, according to a company statement. The contract includes delivery, installation, commissioning and testing of the turbines, along with a 12-year service contract.
Construction work for both locations has already begun. Turbine delivery is scheduled for May 2012 for Rippey and June 2012 for Hawkeye. Both projects are due to be commissioned by October 2012.
