Greek Team to Develop Serbian Hydropower Plants

Greece’s Public Power Corporation has partnered with Cyprus-based Quantum Energy in a hydropower joint venture in Serbia.

The team will lead the construction of four hydropower stations with a total generating capacity of 238 megawatts at a cost of US$653 million, according to international reports.

Public Power and Quantum will select an engineering firm in 2012. Construction is scheduled to last approximately three years once the EPC has been selected.
