The Manoovr semi low-loader

Van der Vlist Expands Fleet With Manoovr Trailers

Heavy-cargo specialist Van der Vlist has expanded its fleet with its first two extendible Manoovr low-loaders with excavator troughs.

The 5-axle extendible Manoovr semi low-loader were delivered from Dutch manufacturer Nooteboom and will be used to transport breakbulk construction machinery weighing up to about 60 tonnes. The units each have load capacity of about 67 tonnes to 92 tonnes in Category 3 in the UK.

“When carrying excavators or demolition machines the boom can be placed in the trough so that the total height of the load is considerably reduced. The height of the construction machinery is often the main factor when deciding whether it is better to use a Manoovr semi low-loader or a EURO-PX low-loader,” a spokesperson for Nooteboom said.

Headquartered in the Netherlands,Van der Vlist provides logistics services focused on abnormal loads and outsized transport for a range of industries including the construction, energy and power,  agricultural, materials handling, oil and gas and petrochemical industries. The group has offices in Belgium, Germany, Holland, Poland, Russia, Spain and the United Kingdom.
