Deep freeze doesn't deter boiler delivery.
Holleman Bulgaria has completed a delivery from Bucharest in Romania to Rousse in Bulgaria despite frigid conditions. From Rousse, the 83-ton boiler was loaded onto a cargo vessel bound for Germany.
Holleman used both mobile and floating cranes to transload the unit. The boiler measured 16.16 meters long, 3.60 meters wide and 3.84 meters high.
In Deggendorf, the boiler was moved onto a truck for transport to the port of Aken. The boiler has been stored to await an improvement in the weather and reopening of the river Elbe. Its final destination is Berlin.
The transport, accompanied by police escorts, has already been challenged by low water on the Danube River, snowstorms and the removal of obstacles along the route to accommodate the width of the boiler.
