Holleman Transport has completed the movement of over-sized refinery equipment from Romania to Serbia near Belgrade for Naftna Industrija Srbije, a Serbian oil company.
The largest piece of cargo weighed 90 tons and measured seven meters wide, according to the Worldwide Project Consortium, on behalf of its Serbian member Holleman.
The equipment will be used to upgrade the main refinery at Pančevo at a cost of US$306 million. While the improvements will not increase the plant’s capacity of processing 4.8 million tons of crude a year, it will improve the quality of the oil to meet new European standards.
