Heavy transport specialist Holleman Bulgaria has delivered 21 Siemens wind turbine generators to the Sfanta Elena project in Romania.
The 2.3-megawatt units were unloaded at Constanta Port on the Black Sea and then loaded aboard barges for river transport up the Danube to Moldova Veche Port, according to a joint statement from the Worldwide Project Consortium and the Cargo Equipment Experts networks, representing their member Holleman Bulgaria.
After reaching Moldova Veche, the wind components were transloaded to trucks by crane for the 10-kilometer journey to the site. The vehicles were escorted to the site by both civil and police personnel.
