Fancy Maneuvering for Deck Barge Transport

Breakbulk Online - News Story

Berard Transportation has moved a 1,300-ton deck barge through the client’s yard to its drydock for launching. While distance was short, obstacles were numerous.

The barge measured 260 feet long, 75 feet wide and 16 feet high. Berard used 52 axle lines of self-propelled modular transport, 30-foot barge ramps, two winch trucks and crane mats for the job. Buildings and other obstacles in the yard required careful manuevering.
