Evaporator Arrives at Saudi Jetty

Logistics provider Almajdouie has moved a 5,000-ton evaporator from the Ras al Khair jetty to the jobsite in Saudi Arabia.

The evaporator measured 124 meters long, 34 meters wide and 12 meters tall. Almajdouie used 172 axle lines of self-propelled modular transport with a capacity cap of 6,680, according to a statement from Cargo Equipment Experts network representing Almajdouie.

Almajdouie will be moving seven additional evaporators for Ras al Khair. The next evaporator is expected at the jetty next month.

South Korea’s Doosan Heavy Industries is building the US$1.76 billion desalination plant for Saline Water Conversion Corporation of Saudi Arabia.
