Breakbulk Online - News Story

Forwarder Kuehne + Nagel will be providing logistics services for engineering and construction group SNC Lavalin’s euro 785 million ($985 million) natural gas treatment and processing plant project in the northern Sahara desert. K&N will handle complete logistics services for construction material, project cargo and equipment sourced from Europe, Asia and North America for the project and will work with Tunisian partner SMTI Transport and Logistics.

SNC Lavalin is building the project for Sonatrach, Algeria’s national oil and gas company. The plant is being built in Rhourde Nouss, approximately 1,200 miles southeast of Algiers, and should be complete in early 2012.

K&N also recently opened a new distribution center near Riga, Latvia, that will serve as a central hub for K&N’s Baltic activities
