The Houston Maritime Arbitrators Association’s third annual scholarship fundraising tournament will be held the afternoon of October 14th, the last day of the Breakbulk Conference, at the world famous golf course Tour 18 (near the IAH Bush Intercontinental Airport).
Over the past two years HMAA has awarded more than $10,000 in scholarships and funding for transportation studies to Texas A&M Galveston, to ITMA (International Transport Managers Association) Houston and the University of Houston Downtown to further its program to have a BA in transportation and to strengthen the future of our industries.
The 20th Break Bulk Conference will be held in Houston on Oct 12, 13 and 14. The tournament will be a great way to end the conference and take time with clients and friends for lunch, an afternoon of golf and a nice dinner at Tour 18 featuring Arnold Palmer’s wine.
Any participation will be greatly appreciated, whether through sponsoring a foursome, other sponsorships, donations or simply passing the word to others who may be interested in an afternoon of fun and networking.
All funds raised will be donated by the HMAA for the future of the transportation and energy industries. The organization hopes to match its 2008 and 2009 donations in 2010. This will be possible with the support of Breakbulk Conference participants.
