Chinese-Polish Joint Stock Shipping C0. multipurpose vessel Paderewsk, has completed its maiden visit in European ports before heading to the Eastern Mediterranean.
The vessel started its maiden voyage in Shanghai four months ago and has sailed on the western route via the Panama Canal, U.S. Gulf and East coast ports before proceeding to load surplus cargo in Antwerp and Hamburg.
The vessel is next bound for Port Said and the Suez canal transit before visiting Jeddah, Mumbai, Jakarta, Singapore, HoChiMinh city, Shanghai, another two Chinese ports and finally Busan.
Following the trip, the vessel will be employed in one of C-P’s liner services connecting Far East and China with U.S. ports. On the global trip from China and Far East via American West, East and U.S. Gulf coast via Europe, Middle East, India, Southeast Asia to China and Far East, a spokesperson for Chipolbrok said.
The vessel is the final of four newbuild ships ordered by the company and delivered last year. The new ships each measure 200 meters long, with draft of 11 meters and width of 27.8 meters. The design includes a full flat integrated weather deck capable of handling cargo up to 135 meters long and cranes with lifting capacity of 3 x 350 tons or 700 tons in tandem, making the ships ideal for extra-long cargoes such as wind blades and flare towers.
