Maritime services provider Wilhelmsen Ships Service has moved a rail wagon vacuum system and accessories from the United Arab Emirates to Genoa, Italy.
The cargo included several rail wagons, vacuum system machine, a vacuum generator along with ancillary equipment. The consignment was moved by road from its pickup site about 300 kilometers Abu Dhabi City to Khalifa Port, where it was transferred for shipment by sea to Genoa Port in Italy.
“The WSS UAE project team’s scope of work included a survey of the cargo at the project site to understand the number and type of containers required as well as the loading, lashing and securing requirements of the cargo,” a WSS spokesperson said.
WSS is part of global service network Wilhelmsen Maritime Services and a subsidiary of global maritime industry group Wilh. Wilhelmsen Holding. The group is headquartered in Lysaker, Norway, and employs about 17,600 people. It is a member of the Project Cargo Network.
