Logsitcs firm Westdijk Sweden has transported an over-dimensional cistern for a refinery project in Stenungsund in the southwest of Sweden.
The cistern measured 38 meters long and 8 meters in diameter and was delivered a half-kilometer by road from a nearby production area. Westdijk is a member of the XL Projects network, which connects heavy-transport providers worldwide.
Vietnamese XLP member FLS Projects also recently completed a breakbulk move, having transported a 122-tonne crew boat from Vung Tau, Vietnam to Egypt. The boat measured 40 meters long and FLS utilized a 4,000-horsepower Azimuth tug to complete pre-carriage and handled all vessel chartering, pre-inspection, customs clearance and loading operations.
Breakbulk specialist Antramar BVBA joined the XLP network in Belgium, adding expertise in unconventional cargo handling via its office in the Port of Antwerp.
