Logistics firm W.I.S. has transported an out-of-gauge cargo of pipe parts from Italy to South Korea.
A team from W.I.S. handled loading operations at various origins in northern Italy and arranged road permits for delivery of more than 50 tonnes of cargo to Venice Port. From there the cargo was shipped to Busan Port in South Korea.
“The shipment was sensitive and urgently needed at the destination and due to strict handling guidelines, all lifting and securing plans and procedures were required by the client. The whole loading process involved the use of heavy lifting equipment as well as special lashing and dunnage,” a W.I.S. spokesperson said.
W.I.S. is a member of the Project Cargo Network, a breakbulk association, connecting ISO 9001 and 14001 certified project cargo and heavy-lift specialists worldwide.
