Freight forwarders VVM Cargo and Alaine Overseas have collaborated to deliver a consignment of fire engines from France to Paraguay.
The firefighting units were transported by road on flatbed trailers and import clearance and planning was coordinated jointly by teams in France and Paraguay.
“The cargo of fire engines … were donated to the local volunteer fire brigade,” a spokesperson for VVM said.
Headquartered in the capital of Paraguay, VVM Cargo provides air, sea and road freight throughout the country. Alaine Overseas is based in Mâcon in eastern France and provides logistics services throughout Europe.
Both firms are members of the Universal Freight Organisation, a global transport network that includes members in more than 105 countries around the world and is ISO 9001:2008 certified.
