Freight forwarder V-Care Logistics Services has delivered a shipment of concrete pumps from South Korea to Nhava Sheva in India.
A team from V-Care arranged all customs clearance and logistics planning as well as packaging the oversized units for transport in wooden boxes.
“Upon landing, we had all documentation ready to clear the cargo through customs in fast-track mode. As a precautionary measure, we conducted a road survey and found there were some bridges and tunnels which meant we could not use a normal trailer so we selected low-beds for the transportation,” said Mahesh V. Neelakantan, director at V-Care.
Headquartered in Mumbai, India, V-Care is a member of Cargo Connections, a UK-based network offering representation for breakbulk operators worldwide. The association is ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified and limits membership to three firms in each country.
