Heavy-lift firm Mammoet has transported a Sandvik stacker reclaimer from China to a coal terminal at Hay Point, Queensland.
The oversized module weighed 267 tonnes and measured 65 meters long, 15 meters wide and 20 meters hight. The cargo was delivered on behalf of Conceptum Logistics.
“Mammoet designed an engineering solution to fit the constraints of the transport route as well as arrival at a congested, live site. Multiple fully engineered simulations were carried out beforehand to design the best delivery option,” a Mammoet spokesperson said.
Headquartered in Schiedam in the Netherlands, Mammoet provides a range of services from transportation and logistics planning to heavy-lift and crane rental for the petrochemical, offshore, power, and civil industries.
