Heavy-lift specialist Mammoet has moved a series of concrete bunkers as part of a waterway relocation project at the Lek channel near Vreeswijk, the Netherlands
The relocation project involved transport of two water management structures and three bunkers weighing more than 750 tons each. The units were moved using a gantry positioned on self-propelled modular transporters.
“In total, Mammoet moved more than 4,800 tons worth of objects for Rijkswaterstaat and Sas van Vreeswijk since the start of the project in February,” a spokesperson for Mammoet said.
Headquartered in Schiedam in the Netherlands, Mammoet provides a range of heavy-lift services from detailed logistics planning and transportation to crane rental.
