Global logistics firm Leman has acquired Maru International in the UK.
The deal is the third UK acquisition by Leman in the last three years, and will see the firm add Maru’s offices in Dewsbury, Braintree and Coatbridge near Glasgow to its portfolio.
”Maru is a strong company founded on high quality and a great product portfolio that complements Leman’s current activities in the UK. Now we can offer a significantly improved and solid set-up across the UK – from southern England to Scotland in the north. Leman becomes more attractive to customers throughout the UK as well as to partners and agents in the rest of Europe and beyond,” said Thomas Krøyer, CEO of Leman Group.
The merger is scheduled to complete by Jan. 1, 2018, with Jesper Thygesen of Leman UK continuing as managing director.
Headquartered in Denmark, Leman provides project cargo services worldwide along with logistics, warehousing, and customized transport solutions. The firm is a member of the Project Cargo Network, which connects ISO 9001 and 14001 certified breakbulk and heavy-lift specialists.
