Belgian marine engineering firm GeoSea is to acquire offshore transport specialist A2SEA
The deal will see GeoSea continue A2SEA’s existing operations in offshore wind turbine service and installation out of Denmark. GeoSea will purchase the firm from joint venture owners DONG Energy and Siemens.
“The activities of A2SEA represent a strong and complementary fit with GeoSea’s operations. The combined organizations will be well positioned to provide a broader range of integrated services and solutions to offshore wind energy customers,” said Luc Vandenbulcke, managing director GeoSea.
The transaction, is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2017 pending authority approval.
