Logistics provider Delta Maritime has transported and installed a shipment of Siemens turbo compressors and gas turbines at the Evros Kipoi TAP station in Northern Greece.
The three gas turbines weighed 36 tonnes each and measured up to 8 meters in length while the three compressors weighed 26.7 tonnes and measured 6 meters. Delta Maritime reloaded the cargo from Mafis onto trucks at the Port of Piraeus.
“The turbo compressors, gas turbines and accessories arrived at the Evros Kipoi TAP Compressing Station site where a 500-tonne shore crane, 5-tonne forklift and a hi-up crane waited to lift the cargo from the trucks … Delta Maritime’s dedicated and experienced team then successfully installed the complete cargo on their foundations,” a spokesperson for Delta said.
Delta Maritime is a member of the Project Cargo Network, a breakbulk association of ISO 9001 and 14001 certified project cargo and heavy-lift specialists.
