Project cargo handler Cranes and Equipment Asia has transported components for an ethoxylation plant from Thailand to Pasadena, Texas.
The complex consignment involved engineering analysis, transportation, installation and load-out of 15 modules and three filtration vessels. The 18 units were initially moved on hydraulic trailers from the fabrication shipyard to Laem Chabang Port in Thailand where they were loaded for ocean transport.
“Route transport surveys were carried out beforehand and a CEA escort vehicle accompanied each convoy to ensure maximum safety during the transportation,” a CEA spokesperson said.
Headquartered in Laem Chabang, Thailand, CEA operates offices in Songkhla, Bangkok, Myanamar and Singapore. It is a member of global logistics network Project Cargo Network, which comprises specialist members in more than 100 countries.
