Shipping firm Blue Water has transported a cargo of plastic pipes from England to Denmark.
The breakbulk consigment involved delivery of 218 plastic pipes, weighing 1,500 tons, on behalf of plastic recycling company Aage Vestergaard Larsen. Following a collision at sea en route from Norway to Algeria, Blue Water created a new logistics plan to salvage some of the pipes at the port of Lowestoft and recut for delivery.
“Within a short time frame, Blue Water managed to solve this exceptional assignment. It was a complete success due to competent employees and a well-run organisation,” said Tommy Jensen, logistics coordinator at Aage Vestergaard Larsen.
Blue Water operates 55 offices in more than 26 countries worldwide and is headquartered in Esbjerg on the west coast of the Jutland peninsula in southwest Denmark.
