Breakbulk firm Al Nahrain Group has transported a shipment of oil and gas parts via Umm Qasr Port in Iraq.
The consignment included a centrifugal pump, main pump, booster pump, pumping system and other accessories and equipment, with the largest items measuring up to 12 meters long and 4 meters wide. The cargo required seven flat-rack carriers and was delivered on behalf of the State Company for Oil Project, or SCOP, and the Ministry of Oil in Iraq.
“We were awarded this project as a sub-contractor by one of our important clients who obtained it directly from SCOP. Our team was on-hand at every stage of the operations to supervise loading at Umm Qasr Port, escorting the trucks from port to site, and during unloading at the final destination,” said Ragheb Banat, deputy general manager at Al Nahrain.
Al Nahrain is a member of the Project Cargo Network, which connects ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified breakbulk operators worldwide.
